Frederick Collins’ Agenda As Chicago’s Next Mayor

As mayor, Frederick Collins will put people first and politics last. His goal is to make the government transparent and people-oriented while ensuring the people's voice is heard, ultimately bringing life to a city that needs a new direction.

His Grassroots Campaign

Frederick Collins is focused on:

  • Reducing crime by 75% in Chicago
  • Boosting the city's economy through block grants from the federal and state government and a 15 year property tax freeze at its current levels for all home owners, commercial property owners and business property owners in the city of Chicago while using tax increment financing to enhance all communities.
  • Providing Title 1 funding for Chicago Public Schools to create a revenue base to help modernize school systems and provide a higher quality of education for all children in Chicago Public Schools

Additionally, Mayor Frederick Collins will support and advocate for minority business ownership and nonprofit organizations that are owned and operated by minority businesses to grow within every ethnic community while opening access to capital and city contracts, which will help improve the economy for all of Chicago.

City Improvements

Frederick Collins' plans for city improvements include creating 100,000 new city workers jobs to turn Chicago into a global attraction. With your help, we can make Chicago a safe, clean, and functionally responsive city. Additionally, city workers will be finally able to trust the city government concerning the protection of their pension and benefits, such as workers with 25 years of working experience, at least age 50, would receive, under my administration, 85% of their pension upon retirement. Further, hiring plans also include hiring 20,000 well-trained new Chicago police officers, 20,000 more firefighters, 20,000 street sanitation departments workers and 40,000 other city worker jobs that would help with homeless shelters, parks, museums, libraries.
