Mayor Collins Economy Plan for Chicago
Mayor Collins's proposal is for a “FIFTEEN-YEAR PROPERTY TAX FREEZE” for home, business, and
commercial property owners. Due to the COVID- 19 Pandemic and economy shut down, this “PROPERTY TAX-FREEZE” would allow for individuals to get back on track and have a fresh start within their business and homeownership. As a 29 year Veteran of the Chicago Police Department, Mayor Collin's understands the necessity of a safe environment needed for business' & Communities to grow.
#1. Mayor Collins will formulate an easy and accessible business committee to aide and work side
by side with those struggling in business and those who want to start a new business.
This committee will be composed of successful business owners who could guide new upstarts and
current struggling owners with insight, funding, and steps toward success. This collaboration by Mayor Frederick Collins will help strengthen and elevate Chicago's current economy while creating another 300,000 job's within our great city of Chicago.
#2. Mayor Collins will also eliminate and do away with the resident's fifty-fifty sidewalk programs of the
past. His vision is that the city should take responsibility for the streets and sidewalks maintenance. It will no longer be the burden of the citizen to pay half for the city's sidewalks and driveways.
#3. Mayor Collins will also establish a responsive pothole hotline, whereas reports are taken and acted
upon a 24 hour period. This has always been a significant burden for the citizens of Chicago In all areas.
#4. Mayor Collins will also implement a city-funded program that works within a partnership with community churches and Non-profit organizations to help provide housing, job training, and employment opportunities to all who want to work, including those with a none criminal violence past and are willing to enhance their job skills. This program will be funded impart by TAX-INCREMENT FINANCE MONEY, FEDERAL GRANTS, and STATE GRANT MONEY!
